Took off to the Burren Perfumery on Sunday afternoon for some cake and a quick stroll around their (fairly compact) gardens. If you asked me to find the place again, I may struggle. Nice spot though.
An evening stroll on the deserted beach at Spanish Point in Clare. This reminds me that I need to break out the Bronica again very soon.
Developing and viewing the results of a few long overdue rolls has reawakened my need to get out and shoot some more black and white. So in honour of that, here’s a black and white from the film archive. Scanning of the newly developed stuff starts tomorrow (hopefully).
From The Burren, last year. Was going to say ‘back when it was sunny and calm’ but I don’t think it’s ever either of those over there. Shot on Ilford PanF 50 with a red filter. Improperly exposed and not a lot done to try and rescue it from that.
So it was heard; Or rather overheard at these very cliffs that this tower (O’Brien’s Tower) is in fact the highest point in the world! THE WORLD! Looking back through some of the film I’ve actually managed to scan, I can’t understand why I’ve blogged so little of the Burren. This is Poulnabrone Dolmen, a popular spot for the tourists…
Taken for my sofobomo project, this is in The Burren in Co. Clare. During our weekend on the west coast, I spent a bit of time searching for the right wall, with the right patch of grass beneath it and the right patch of clouds behind it. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.
So I’ve not been around here in the last few days. Updating has gotten rather slack and I blame at least 67% of that on trying to get my SoFoBoMo ’09 book done on time. Time which runs out tomorrow.
