An all too unsure if I should be there or not walk around the prep area before an evening of stock car racing in Cowdenbeath. You may have guessed, due to the decor in the photo, that Cowdenbeath is in Scotland. That is all.
May 2005. I only really remember this as one of the first times I actively tried to sell my previous bike, a Yamaha Royal Star Venture. Put on by the Freewheelers MC in Waterford, the show was my first opportunity to get up close to and photograph trial bikes. When asked by one of the riders \’which paper I work for\’, I remember having to think fast and come up with something good so I\’d be allowed further access to the event. Ahh blagging.

I don\’t put alot of thought into things sometimes. Planning ahead with any great certainty or in any massively well thought out way isn\’t my bag baby. That might explain why I forgot my keys when I went down to the car park before work one morning… And locked myself in only to be rescused by an unwitting neighbour some 15 minutes later.
Toward the end of the festivities, the car clubs got their five minutes of fame. This time in the form of some very well restored VW beetles. Well, and one not so well restored, but I\’m sure that was a work in progress.
A fantastic display of wit from one or more of Glasgow\’s inhabitants. Although, they may have been operating with actual proof! Who knows?
The most MG’s ever in Lismore? We were passing through the town on a whistle-stop tour of east Cork & Waterford and came across a whole load of MG’s, new and old, in a car park just off the ‘main street’. Obviously, there must have been some kind of owners club meeting happening nearby!
Leave the car running? A wedding car sits in wait outside a west Cork church. The wedding season has officially come back into full force and free Saturday’s are a thing of the past. Well, until October anyway. Really must get working on that portfolio/website.
