Chelsea Hotel

November 2, 2009 Canon 24-70, Canon 5D, Event

On arriving in the city and settling into the hotel (not this one though), what do you think the first thing we did was? Took a stroll around the streets in the direction of B&H of course…

Redbrick Garage

October 29, 2009 Canon 5D

Just down the road from where we stayed in Bleskensgraaf back in July of this year. The place is a photobook waiting to happen…

One

Dordrecht, side streets leading to the river. Someone likes model ships. Suppose Holland is the country to live in if you’re a fan of the water.

The Elf in the Windmill

August 13, 2009 Canon 24-70, Canon 5D, Event, People

In Kinderdijk, in a windmill, looking out a window at… another windmill. Or two. Here she is, no doubt making that ‘photo taking’ face. Concentration I tells ya!

P&O Lloyd

July 6, 2009 Canon 50, Canon 5D, Wicklow

Quite an old bus, imported from across the murky sea, lying idle in a yard at Powerscourt. Possibly something to do with the big “Set” sign that was pointing down a tree lined driveway. Wonder what they were filming there?

The Church

I’m tempted to say “St. Kevins” in Donadea. But I don’t actually know. Saint something or others. An eerie feeling accompanies this shot. The thought that while peering through the lens at the scene a face from inside the glass would pop out and stare back. I braved it out and took the shot anyway. And yes, I watch too much TV.

Fly Away Home

February 7, 2009 Canon 50, Canon 5D, Landscape

Making notes on the flight home on Thursday. Spent much of the last week working in Sofia, Bulgaria and very glad to be leaving to return to Dublin. The city is… well.. not what I expected to say the least. Strike it off your holiday destination list. More of that particular rant later perhaps. Also missed all of the damn snow. Went to Bulgaria fully expecting to be ball deep in the fluffy white stuff (that’s snow, not cocaine vicar)Read More
