That rule being, \”Always keep a foreground rock handy\”. Rocks and their commonplace use in the foregrounds of photos has been a staple foodstuff in my photographic recipe book for a long time. It never fails to draw oooh\’s and aaaaah\’s from all those who recognise a piece of quality photograhic work. Rocks in the foreground. I love them.
(I\’m going to hold a \’rocking up your foreground\’ weekend course in 2009. Those interested should apply within.)

Further evidence, as if the cold and darker evenings weren\’t proof enough, that the seasons are changing. Depths of winter are closing in fast and hey, there are only (insert ever decreasing number here) more shopping days left until Christmas! If you\’re in the area, I\’d strongly suggest a drive down there.

Walking around in the dense yet perfectly ordered forest at Glendalough in Wicklow. The forest is not unlike something you’d see in a film. Possibly something with hobbitses or the likes.

My first time in the Sally Gap in Wicklow. Really quite an amazing place. I’ll be going back there… many many times. Had an indescribably fantastic time driving around there. Next time I go back, I’ll probably take a left instead of a right at that junction that I probably won’t be able to find again. Map I think… definitely map required.
