February 2003. My first visit to Canada also brought me to California for a week. It was, as you may expect, a week packed with as many tourist activities as one could possibly squeeze into such a relatively short period of time. I\’ve neglected the blog a bit for the last couple of weeks but I have a good excuse. I\’m on holiday! Seems a bit strange to be looking back on a photo I took in the US so many years ago and writing about it while sitting in a hotel room in New York. Holidays however are coming to an abrupt end in the coming couple of days.

One of Edinburgh Castle’s cannon’s pointing out over the city toward the sea. I hadn’t been to Edinburgh in almost ten years so it was quite nice to get back there and re-visit a few sites. Was better to get away from work for a few short days though!
